By adding a quality shock pad to your artificial grass system, these performance characteristics aren’t solely dependent on the artificial grass and (performance) infill.
Additionally you want to be assured that your traditional (3G) field offers the maximum number of playing hours. Due to the high water infiltration rate of ProPlay players can perform to the max! ProPlay is very durable and retains its elasticity to guarantee a long-lasting performance, for many playing hours, all year round.
Within an artificial grass system, the shock pad can reduce the thickness of the subbase. How? Because of its high thermal resistance the subbase can consist of less aggregate, resulting in much lower subbase costs, which can justify an investment in a state-of-art shock-absorption and drainage pad.
Schmitz Foam Products provided the ProPlay-Sport shock pad to cushion the concrete surface at Montreal’s Olympic Stadium, one of the largest Canadian stadiums used for the Women’s World Cup in June 2015. The Canadian Soccer Association, FIFA and JSA Sport Architecture Inc. selected partners Carpell Surfaces and ACT Global to supply and install the synthetic turf system. It was the first time all-synthetic turf was used in a FIFA senior World Cup.
Early adopters of the ProPlay shock absorbing layer are currently reaping the fruits. A growing number of installations are proving that the lifespan of ProPlay meets expectations, thereby enabling clubs and stadium owners to offer a safe and durable surface over a longer period of time and achieve significant savings when renewing their synthetic turf surfaces.
