If your field is located in a region of regular snow fall, the possibility to have a heated sportsfield could be the solution. Schmitz Foam Products developed a special shock pad in which ribbons for electrical heating or pipes for liquid heating can be perfectly incorporated.
To get the best out of our product and consequently create the perfect base for your pitch, it's of great importance to follow our instructions when installing our shock pads. We have the perfect guide to get you started and achieve a flawless end result.
Some regions are more likely to experience regular or harsh wintry conditions. With our shock pads ProPlay-HP40li and ProPlay-HP23el that were specifically developed to incorporate heating elements, year-round play is perfectly possible. When snow covers your field, the heating can melt the snow revealing the field’s lines. Low temperatures (below 0 °C ) can have a negative impact on your field’s elasticity. By adding field heating, its elasticity performance will remain, ensuring that the players can perform in accordance with their capabilities.
And if that is not enough due to these pads’ excellent insulation capabilities, heat and energy will benefit the surface instead of getting lost into the subbase. If desired, even horizontal drainage is possible with these shock pads.
The ProPlay-HP40li (‘li’ for liquid) and ProPlay-HP23el (‘el’ for electrical) are developed to incorporate heating elements, whether it is a pipe for a liquid heating system for which our ProPlay-HP40li is developed, or a ribbon for an electrical heating system for which our ProPlay-HP23el is developed. Both types of shock pads are delivered as rolls that are customized to the specific width of the field.
